SCOUTS STAGE A VARIETY SHOW
SCOUTS and leaders of the 1st East Grinstead Troop, put on a lively and varied show for the parents, at their Open Evening in Moat Hall, on Tuesday of last week.
With a drag beauty contest, gymnastic display, singing, sketches and dances, the lads entertained for nearly an hour, before the more serious part of the evening, the presentations and awards.
A trophy and individual medals and certificates were presented to members of the best patrol for 1976 and to the runners-up; three Scout Standards were awarded, together
with a collector's badge, and new Scouter with the "troop”, Michael Paul was presented with his warrant.
The highest award to he gained by a Scout, namely the Chief Scout's Award, was presented to Graham Parsons, who also received a Service Flash and swimming instructor's and mechanic's badge
